The Ball Foundation
Our priorities: Education, recycling, disaster relief and preparedness
The Ball Foundation is the philanthropic arm of our efforts to build a better world. It awards grants to nonprofit organizations in U.S. communities where we operate. We devote 49 percent of our charitable resources to recycling efforts, 30 percent to advancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, and 21 percent to helping communities prepare for disaster and rapid relief when it strikes.
Recycling: Cleaning up in Tampa
We are proud to support Can’d Aid, a long standing partner, at events such as River Crest Park, where volunteers collect trash and recyclables.
Education: Brothers with a Bright Future
Disaster relief & Preparedness: Standing with the Red Cross

Apply for a grant
Our grantmaking focuses on programming that aligns strongly with our priority areas, education, recycling, and disaster relief and preparedness. We focus on specific, measurable projects and programs rather than offering broad sponsorships. Our deadlines to apply for 2021 are May 15 and September 21. (Funding Guidelines)
Broadening Strategic Partnerships Through Recycling
We partnered with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, our partner at Ball Arena in Denver, to grow the Green Assists program, which teaches young people about the benefits of recycling.
Pandemic Relief
Ball employees are united in our ongoing commitment to supporting communities worldwide throughout the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. We provide aid – in ways only Ball can because of our global footprint – including food, clothing, medical technology and more to at-risk communities.
