Ball Aerospace Names Michele Miller Vice President of Security and Mission Assurance

BROOMFIELD, Colo., April 4, 2022 — Today, Ball Aerospace announced that Michele Miller will serve as the new vice president of the company’s Security and Mission Assurance (SMA) business, effective April 4, 2022, replacing Jeff Osterkamp, current vice president of SMA, who retired from Ball on April 1, 2022.
“I am pleased to welcome Michele into her new role,” said Dave Kaufman, president, Ball Aerospace. “Over the course of her career, Michele has demonstrated strong technical expertise in executing cutting-edge defense and intelligence missions, exceptional leadership of cross-functional teams responsible for complex and critical programs, and dedicated mentorship in giving back to the aerospace & defense community through the development of underrepresented populations of the workforce.”
Miller currently serves as Ball Aerospace’s senior director, Tactical Systems Engineering and previously led the Missions and Systems Engineering team at Ball Aerospace. Prior to joining Ball, Miller served as the Missile Defense Systems Operating Unit director at Northrop Grumman where she was responsible for strategic leadership and all business metrics over a portfolio of programs. Miller holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder and was recently named an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Associate Fellow.
