Ball Resource Groups

Creating a diverse and inclusive environment


Ball Resource Groups (or BRGs) are visible, value-added organizations that build and support a diverse and inclusive environment at Ball. Our BRG members participate in a number of activities focused on career development, company culture, community outreach and commercial activities. Our best-in-class BRGs also work with Ball leadership to address matters of interest to their members and each group welcomes all employees.

Today, Ball employees manage 10 Ball Resource Groups, which are open to all employees: 
 
Abilities BRG
Seeks to promote and maintain awareness of the contributions and challenges of, and resources available to, employees with a disability and/or have family members with a disability.
African American BRG
Builds and supports a diverse environment with a vision for mentorship, community outreach, recruitment and retention, and cultural partnership.

 
Asian BRG
Provides opportunities for Ball employees to learn more about and celebrate the rich Asian culture. We promote a diverse and inclusive workplace through education, mentorship, networking and community outreach activities, and by supporting the company’s recruitment and retention efforts.
Cultural Awareness of the Religions of Employees (CARE) BRG
Seeks to promote and maintain awareness of the different religious cultures of Ball employees to improve inclusiveness and increase workplace diversity. ​
Hispanic BRG
Enhances collaboration and cultural awareness with the other BRGs and Ball Leadership to leverage our diverse skill sets to identify and resolve issues. In addition, the collaboration enables highlighting and expanding the Ball brands through community outreach, mentorship, recruitment and retention processes. The HBRG encourages participation as a means of ensuring the resource group remains a vibrant and value-add organization which will allow employees and Ball Leadership long term sense of community and camaraderie to further the objectives of Ball Corporation in an ever expanding and diverse global landscape.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies BRG
Promotes a broader social understanding of the fundamental right for all employees to have a safe working environment, free from intimidation, fear, harassment and prejudice so they can bring their whole selves to the workplace.  The BRG supports the LGBTA community and builds a diverse work environment through activities, networking, mentoring, service to the company, and supporting LGBTA employees.
Relocation to Colorado BRG
Supports employees moving to the area, as they transition to Ball and acclimate to life in Colorado. This BRG assists employees and their families by providing local information, helpful personal connections, and introductions to the area’s resources.
Veterans BRG
Promotes community and camaraderie, service to Ball, and service to the community by: advancing personal and professional development, providing support and networking opportunities, participation in recruitment, retention and advancement activities supporting an inclusive environment. 
Women’s BRG
Empowers women with resources, skills and networks to fulfill their career aspirations, connect with our community, and foster an environment of support within Ball.

 
Young Professionals BRG
Supports early-career Ball employees by enabling members across all divisions to learn, connect, and grow through professional education, networking, and development opportunities.
