High quality beer deserves high quality packaging. The secret is in the can.

• Cans are impenetrable to light. No risk of light turning the beer undrinkable.
• Cools down faster than any other beverage container resulting in fresher, better tasting beer.
• Cans are portable - they can go anywhere your customers go.
• Cans are airtight and oxygen-free. Oxygen can leach into a bottled beer under the bottle cap and affect the taste, which could potentially destroy the beer.
• No metallic contamination or flavor. Spraying the insides of the can and lid with a water-based polymer ensures no contact between the beer and the aluminum. Think of a can as a mini-keg for your craft beer.

The first three-digit number describing a round can indicates the diameter measured across the outside of the chime on the seamed end. The second three-digit number indicates the overall height of the can with one end

While such dimensions may be expressed in inches, the custom is to use a conventionalized method in which three-digit numbers are used to express each dimension. The first digit indicates the number of whole inches in a dimension, and the second and third digits indicate the fractional inches as sixteenths of an inch.

For example:
303 x 406 means 3-3/16 x 4-6/16 inches
307 x 512 means 3-7/16 x 5-12/16 inches
603 x 700 means 6-3/16 x 7 inches

Premium wine in a premium package.

Ball has obtained the rights to manufacture and sell beverage cans for wine using the patented Vinsafe® system in Europe and will market small-sized slim cans with the Vinsafe seal of quality. The globally patented Vinsafe wine packaging system, developed by Australian company, Barokes, ensures the highest possible product quality with stability and longevity. Vinsafe provides clear specifications for wine growing, filling and packaging. Only specifically approved wine may be packaged using the Vinsafe system. A special manufacturing technique for beverage cans ensures the premium quality of the wine filled in these cans is maintained. In addition, a method specially designed by Vinsafe to fill the cans gives the products a longer shelf life. Regular scientific analysis performed by independent labs guarantees consistent high quality. Considering the above, it's little wonder that Barokes has received over 100 medals and international prizes for its premium  wine in cans including Platinum, Five Gold  “Best in Class” and the Nomination for “Best at Show.”

With its new product, Ball opens doors for European winemakers to new markets- including the target group of 20 to 39-year-old consumers, who appreciate the chance to experience new premium products in cans. This target group welcomes innovative packaging, which corresponds to their style of living and consumption.
