Inspiring the next generation

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is critical to nearly every aspect of life, from the cell phones we use to the medical care we receive to everything we build, from skyscrapers to spacecraft.

The U. S. is struggling to prepare our students for these critical STEM jobs. Our country is falling behind the world’s industrialized nations, ranking 25th in mathematics and 17th in science. The future of our company and country depends on the next generation of engineers, scientists and technologists. For more than a decade, we’ve reached out to students from elementary school to college to inspire them to choose STEM careers.

Reaching out to schools
We support programs like FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) Robotics. FIRST Robotics gives student teams the chance to design and build complex robots working side-by-side with high-tech pros. In addition to acquiring engineering skills, students build self-confidence, leadership and teamwork skills.
We support other educational outreach and numerous activities with neighboring universities to support a STEM-ready talent pipeline. Our employees are guest speakers in schools, using grade- and program-specific educational kits and materials to make the information easy and fun for everyone.
