Mission Assurance

As the vice president of Mission Assurance for Ball Aerospace, Jeff Osterkamp leads the Mission Assurance function, which ensures the highest standards of quality for all Ball Aerospace processes and products. 

Jeff is responsible for program mission assurance management and the disciplines of reliability, parts, radiation effects and systems safety engineering-- as well as hardware, software, supply chain and materials quality assurance, which support all Ball Aerospace programs. He is also responsible for providing environmental, health and safety support and quality management resources for the company.  

In his previous positon as vice president of engineering, Jeff provided leadership for many functions that support the company’s strategic business units. 

Jeff has more than 30 years of leadership experience at Ball Aerospace. His previous roles include executive leadership of the company’s component technologies business area. He has also previously served as vice president, business execution for the National Defense strategic business unit; as the vice president of the Program Management Office; as director of Sensor and Video Technologies, and as director of Advanced Antenna and Video Systems. 

Before joining Ball Aerospace, Jeff was a systems engineer at Sperry Flight Systems from 1980 to 1986. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado.
