Alan Frohbieter

Vice President and Chief Engineer

Alan FrohbieterAlan Frohbieter is the Vice President and Chief Engineer for Ball Aerospace. In this role, he engages across the company focusing on execution throughout the lifecycle of Ball Aerospace programs, from proposal to final delivery.

Frohbieter has held many leadership positions at Ball Aerospace. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Technical Director where he was responsible for facilitating innovative technology collaboration and successful program execution strategies. He also led the strategy and implementation of new technologies and processes.

Frohbieter joined Ball Aerospace as the Program Manager for the QuickBird program in the mid-1990s. Prior to joining Ball, he had a 14-year career with Lockheed Martin Astro Space (formally RCA AstroSpace). While at Lockheed Martin he held numerous leadership positions, including program management, systems engineering and spacecraft design engineering.

Frohbieter earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University.
